A native of southeast Virginia, Austin attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he played baseball and received a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Upon graduating from Hampden-Sydney College, Austin worked in project management for Kotarides Companies in Virginia Beach, VA, and Crestline Construction in Foley, AL, overseeing the building of single-family and multifamily units.

Austin currently resides in Baldwin County and enjoys golfing, listening to live music, watching sports, and spending time with his friends and family.
